updated January 19, 2007
The PeeWee
A team advanced to the finals in the Andover Cup
Tournament over the MLK Holiday weekend. In game one, the Hawks tied host Andover (2-2) on goals by
Matt Mandeville, assisted by Brent Sullivan and Matt Gorski, and Sullivan from Michael
Guay and Mandeville . Sullivan spoiled the shutout with 5.9 seconds left in game two, but the
Hawks fell to Masco (2-1). Rallying in the third game, the Hawks stymied Marblehead, led by a
strong perfomance between the pipes by Mike Doucette and solid defense from Robert Patrylo, Brian Walsh, Craig
Harper and Gorski. The Hawks faced off against Andover once again in the
Championship game. Guay, assisted by Walsh,
netted the only goal late in the third period to prevent the shut-out, but the
Hawks fell to the host team, 3-1.
