The GLYSA Bantam A team and the Chateauguay Vikings of Canada


The Hawks hosted the Chateauguay Vikings in a friendly, three game series over the weekend of February 18 - 20. The Vikings took Game 1, led by Mario Zappala, with two goals and the assist on a goal by Reilly Tomney. Also scoring for the Canadians was Justin Pulice, assisted by Chris Diabo. The Hawks prevented the shut-out on a goal by Dan O'Brien, assisted by Kyle McCormack.
Game 2 went to the Hawks with goals by Dan Moynihan, (Bobby Mitchell and Zach Gys). Gys ( Mitchell and Moynihan ); T.A. DeMoulas ( Ross Sarmento and Mike DiDomenico ) and DiDomenico ( Sarmento and DeMoulas ). The Vikings netted two goals - one by Diabo and one by Zappala .
The third game was played at the Tsongas Arena Sunday morning, with the Hawks edging a 3-2 victory. Finding the back of the net for the Hawks were DeMoulas , assisted by Sarmento and DiDomenico; Gys, assisted by Mitchell, and an unassisted bid by Stephen Therriault. Jarret Blake set up Zappala for the Vikings first goal. Zappala then assisted Tomney for their second.
