MARTHA'S VINEYARD FACES BANTAM "B" BLIZZARD!

The recent snow storm closed Martha's Vineyard for several days; however, it reopened just in time for their annual tournament this past weekend. The
Bantam B team created their own blizzard of activity, going 3-0 to earn a berth in the championship game on Sunday. The action began Friday night with a 4-1 victory over Midstate. Scoring for the Hawks were Tommy Xayyamountry with two goals while Matt Kelleher and Will Driscoll netted one each. Eric Olejarz had an assist. Xayyamountry was also named "Player of the Game". Saturday morning, the Hawks edged past Brockton, 2-1, with goals by Olejarz and Kelleher who also had an assist. Varian Ricard was named "Player of the Game". That afternoon, host Martha's Vineyard, fell to the Hawks 2-1. Scoring both goals was Olejarz with Xayyamountry giving an assist. Hawks goalie Chris Depari was named "Player of the Game" for his solid perfomance between the pipes. The championship game on Sunday was a face-off between Brockton and Greater Lowell. Despite a great effort by goal scorers Kelleher and Olejarz and an assist from Casey Johnston, the Hawks fell 4-2. Congratulations to the Bantam B team!
